Took a rickshaw ride the first day from our hotel in Thamel to Durbar Square. Durbar Square was where the city’s kings were once crowned. Many buildings were damaged by the 2015 earthquake. Rebuilding and cleaning up efforts are still being done.
I arrived at CAN airport around 5:30am local time, headed towards immigration and went into wrong line twice. By asking directions however, I found out that China Southern had accommodations and a city tour available for guests during day layovers. Our last day at Yellowstone was very wet and cold. We made plans to go to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone instead of driving in the park and braving the traffic. What a treat! We saw about four wolves and two grizzlies. Learned a lot about the animals at the exhibits
