The Road to Cchulemu

So the main purpose of this whole trip to Nepal was to travel to a couple of villages in the Solukhumbu District of Nepal to help with the development of women’s education in the area for Bridges Between. Another emphasis was cultural exchange. I got a lot of that. Tried to bring some “Murican” culture […]

Durbar Square, Kathmandu

Took a rickshaw ride the first day from our hotel in Thamel to Durbar Square. Durbar Square was where the city’s kings were once crowned. Many buildings were damaged by the 2015 earthquake. Rebuilding and cleaning up efforts are still being done.

Guangzhou Layover #1

I arrived at CAN airport around 5:30am local time, headed towards immigration and went into wrong line twice. By asking directions however, I found out that China Southern had accommodations and a city tour available for guests during day layovers. I didn’t even know about the free tour until I got to the accommodation desk.

If you’re from or have ever visited Palm Springs, you’ll have seen the long pink wall running along Frank Sinatra Drive separating the Annenbergs and the hoi polloi. For years, I’ve wondered what’s behind that wall. The Annenberg Foundation opened Sunnylands to the public recently and public tours are blowing up! (Sunnylands is the West Coast

Elsewhence 2015

Burning man is the big festival that happens in Nevada on Labour Day long weekend.  There are also regional burns that happen around the world and Colorado’s regional burn was called Apogaea. Elsewhence was created last year with the principles and participants of burning Man coming together for an intimate weekend of fun and frivolity.
