I arrived at CAN airport around 5:30am local time, headed towards immigration and went into wrong line twice. By asking directions however, I found out that China Southern had accommodations and a city tour available for guests during day layovers. I didn’t even know about the free tour until I got to the accommodation desk. Came back an hour later to pick up the tour bus it was just me and two German girls from Cologne. Â The tour showed us some highlights of Guangzhou such as the new vs. old architecture, large statue of 5 Rams or Goats, and a pretty good dim sum restaurant. Even had a few dim sum I haven’t had before. All of this was free!! I would have gladly paid money for the hotel and tour.
