Tequila’s Bed 2.0

When Tequila became a solo dog, she refused to sleep on the floor while we were in the bed; so I made a dog bed that would fit on top of a Lane chest (I was supposed to refinish) so she could be at our level but not in our bed. I was pretty cocky at this point and this was my first big sewing screwup, but we made it work for the last 10+ years, or so.

Tequila is now 14 or 15 years old and she’s missed the big jump to her bed more than once, so it was time to revisit the whole situation. I decided to make a frame our of some scrap wood, then add a foam back with some scraps from previous cushion projects, and then I still has some faux fur left over from previous projects. So I put it all together and now she only has to jump one-half as high. We can cut down the legs if we need to in the future. She likes it so far.
