I’ve always wanted a real woodworkers workbench. The stationary and rolling ones I built in the old house were from Home Handyman and aren’t really designed for the work I want to do in the future. The stationary one in particular is really just used for storage and was a pain to move.
I was going to build one myself, but this little bench came on sale for 2/3 the regular price, which happens to be almost exactly the material price for a home-built bench of equivalent quality… not including the 40 hours of manpower, blood, sweat, and tears.
I hemmed and hawed for almost a month, but decided to pull the trigger on the last day of the sale. I probably won’t use it till the middle of 2017 because all the projects in the queue are home storage and refinishing, but she’s a beauty, eh!
