I built this before I knew that Ikea Hacks even existed and that there was a website devoted to them.
We needed a better system for the front entrance and purchased the last coat rack that Ikea sold that would fit. It’s now discontinued. It was a little awkward because it was too low and there was no storage so I built the bottom shelf with a new joinery technique. I still have to build the drawers for the inside which is why I wasn’t worried about the paint or joinery holes inside.
