I’ve wanted to go to Bishop Castle since the moment I first heard of it and we finally made the trip. It was everything I wished for and more. I highly recommend everyone visit. We stopped by our favorite campground on our way home from the Mesa Verde trip and stayed for the Apple Blossom festival. Found our next toys. The kid kept getting in our way, so we couldn’t do a double roll. That’s why we need our own!
After leaving Mesa Verde we headed to see the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado. We didn’t stay in the national park, we stayed well outside in nearby Alamosa. On our first full day there we went to the national park and Chris hiked to the top of the highest sand dune. I stayed behind
We stayed three nights outside of Mesa Verde Nat’l Park. The view from our RV park was terrific. We booked the tour of Balcony House Cliff Dwelling a couple of days before the tour date. I was very much looking forward to seeing this place up close. Had a touch of food poisoning that day,
I had a day to kill in Houston and went out exploring for something cool to do. I found it at the Art Car Museum in Houston. This tiny museum is located in a cool part of Houston that I didn’t even think existed. I’ll spend some more time exploring the area the next time
I’ve always wanted to do this since I heard Penn Jillette tell a story about one of the founding flights of Zero-G where he went up, stripped naked, and played a ukulele while floating around the plane before he started puking. The organization was apparently quite sketchy back then and they’ve refined the system since then
