I was inspired to make a raincoat Monday after getting trapped in a Golden, CO hailstorm. The next day on my way home from dropping Cholo off at the vet for a cosmetic procedure, I picked up an Amy Butler pattern for a raincoat that I’ve been thinking about for almost a year. So for the last three days (of rain in Denver), I hurried to finish my raincoat. Luckily the rain held out this morning and I was able to wear this and keep fairly dry.
I used oilcloth instead of the recommended coated cotton and had to go up a couple of sizes to make this fit. Pattern reviewers all seemed to have problems with the fit of this pattern too. Anyway, pretty happy with the way it turned out.
